Rukmini Kalamangalam is a skilled community organizer with experience in civic engagement and advocacy for the Asian American and immigrant community. At Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta, Rukmini led both remote and in-person get-out-the-vote efforts, facilitated essential services, and managed significant events. Previously, at Emory University, Rukmini served as a Writing Center Tutor and a Research Assistant, focusing on the impact of mosque building controversies on immigrant Muslim communities. Additional experience includes interning with OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates, where Rukmini developed workshops and facilitated anti-Asian violence training, as well as a role at Pace Center for Girls, managing volunteer hiring and outreach. Rukmini holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Creative Writing from Emory University.
