Jacques Fleischer is currently a DOE SULI Intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where analysis of carbon emissions calculations is performed using data from the OpenPATH app. As an undergraduate researcher at the University of Florida, Jacques trained a YOLOv8 AI model for traffic intersection conflict detection in Dr. Sanjay Ranka's MALT Lab. Previous research experience includes geospatial earthquake forecasting at the UVA Biocomplexity Institute, utilizing the Rivanna supercomputer, and developing software for the Cloudmesh project. As a student tutor at Knack, over 200 hours of virtual tutoring in Chemistry, English, and C++ were provided. Jacques also gained experience as a research intern at Florida A&M University, predicting cryptocurrency price changes with machine learning, and served as an illustrator for The Reporter, creating fine art for a student newspaper. Jacques Fleischer is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Florida, after earning an Associate degree in Computer Science from The Honors College at Miami Dade College.
