Yukihiro Hatagishi

Electric Vehicle Charging Hardware Systems Researcher at National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Yukihiro Hatagishi is an experienced professional in the field of electric vehicle technology and power electronics, currently serving as an Electric Vehicle Charging Hardware Systems Researcher at National Renewable Energy Laboratory since January 2024. Prior to this role, Yukihiro held multiple positions at Diamond Electric Mfg. Corporation from April 2014 to December 2023, including EV Electronics Lead, where responsibilities involved advancing V2X AC activities in the US and product design for V2X OBC intended for the US market. As the V2X OBC Team Lead, Yukihiro managed a team of over 10 members on a V2G AC project, integrating advanced IEEE 1547 smart inverter functionalities. Yukihiro's earlier experiences include developing Active Power Decoupling (APD) solutions and contributing to electric control unit (ECU) software development for electric power steering (EPS) systems. Yukihiro earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Material Engineering from Osaka University from 2008 to 2012.
