Scott McKim has had a long and varied career in content management and editorial roles for various media organizations. Scott started in 1992 at The Hollywood Reporter as an Associate Managing Editor/Senior Editor/Associate Editor, where they held senior positions in the print feature reports department. During this time, they edited and contributed to 30+ reports annually and played a key role in developing a more efficient desktop publishing workflow. In 2000, they transitioned to the online department as the Managing Editor Online, where they became the go-to editor for feature content, multimedia, and special projects. After eight years in that role, Scott joined Knox College in 2008 as the Web Editor & New Media Manager, working closely with various departments on a range of projects. In 2010, they moved to The Hollywood Reporter again, this time as a Premium Content Producer, where they produced the iPad edition of the weekly print magazine. Finally, in 2013, Scott joined National Review as a Content Manager, responsible for implementing SEO, editing and processing images, researching and building photo galleries, and managing homepage presentation for the national political and current affairs news magazine.
Scott McKim completed their undergraduate studies from 1983 to 1984 at Grinnell College, with a focus on undergraduate studies. Scott then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, with a minor in Philosophy, at the University of Iowa from 1984 to 1988.
