Dave Givens

Dave Givens serves as the Owner and Senior Instructor at Yosemite Survival School since July 2014, where wilderness training needs are addressed. Additionally, Dave is the Owner and Senior Lead Instructor at Hammer Stryke Self-Reliance Training, Inc, providing skills development since 2011. As Chairman of the Education Committee and Senior Instructor at Safety First Shooting Association, Dave promotes firearms training and safety. With a long-standing affiliation with the National Rifle Association as a Training Counselor starting in May 2002, and previous roles in technical leadership at Cisco, Dave's experience also includes extensive search and rescue operations with various teams and the Mariposa County Sheriff. Formerly a manager at Cisco Systems, Dave's career in the US Navy spanned from 1979 to 1992.
