Project Manager at National Robotarium

Ruth Plant's work experience begins in 2015 as a Sports Assistant at Robert Gordon University. Ruth then worked as a Sport and Physical Activity Development Officer and later as a Senior Sport Development Officer from 2016 to 2019. From 2020 to 2022, Ruth served as a Business and Memberships Manager at RGU SPORT, overseeing business activities and membership sales. In 2022, they transitioned to the role of a Business Development Manager, specifically focusing on companies in the Health, Social Care, Life Sciences, and Food & Drink sectors. Currently, Ruth is employed as a Project Manager at The National Robotarium, starting in 2023.

Ruth Plant obtained their Applied Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons) degree from Robert Gordon University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they have also acquired various certifications, including a Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management from ILM, obtained in November 2022. Ruth also holds a Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management from ILM, obtained in January 2020. Furthermore, they have certifications in Emergency First Aid at Work, Exercise Level 3 Referral from the Register of Exercise Professionals, IOSH Managing Safely, REPs Level 2 Fitness Instructor (Gym-based Exercise) from the Register of Exercise Professionals, and Sport Scotland - Positive Coaching. Ruth has also received the UK Disability Inclusion Training Award and completed the Young Enterprise Scotland program at the University of Strathclyde Business School.
