Paymon has been immersed in the Life Science industry since 1993 and his professional background encompasses experience in discovery research, scientific recruiting, and management.
Paymon began his recruiting career in 2000 and spent six years as a Recruiter and Business Development Manager for a major Scientific Staffing provider where he and his team placed hundreds of scientific professionals into start-up and fortune 500 companies throughout the industry. Prior to coming to National Search Associates, Paymon directed the San Diego business unit of a life science recruiting firm where he managed all operational activities and was instrumental in growing the company’s presence throughout the Southern California market.
Paymon graduated UC San Diego with a degree in Physiology & Neuroscience and was awarded a graduate research fellowship in Molecular Biology. He subsequently conducted research in Neuroscience and Genomics for SIBIA Neurosciences and Sequana Therapeutics in San Diego. His science background has allowed him to successfully bridge the gap between the unique needs of candidates and hiring managers; and his dedication, professionalism, and understanding of the industry have made him the business partner of choice for his clients.
Paymon relocated to San Diego as a child and considers himself a native. He is involved in outdoor sports and activities, has a black belt in TaeKwonDo, and is an avid international traveler.
