Michael Prasad

Michael Prasad, MA, CEM®, serves as the Executive Director at The Center for Emergency Management Intelligence Research since October 2022 and holds a Board Member position with the New Jersey Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster since November 2023. Currently, Michael operates as a Senior Research Analyst at Barton Dunant and as an Intelligence Analyst with the National Security Policy and Analysis Organization. Additionally, Michael provides expertise as an Emergency Management Consultant for Emergency Services Consulting International. Previous roles include a temporary position as National Headquarters Manager at the American Red Cross, Assistant Director for the State of New Jersey, and Director for the American Red Cross for nearly a decade. Early career experience includes management positions at H&R Block and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Michael holds a Master of Arts in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from American Public University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Ohio University.
