Upendra S. is an experienced transport management professional currently serving as the Transport Lead for Dalmia Bharat Group since August 2022, overseeing the management of over 150 vehicles, vendor billing, and transport budgeting. Prior to this, Upendra held various roles in the transport sector, including Team Leader at Coforge, where responsibilities included vehicle condition assessments and driver briefings, and Senior Executive at HCL Technologies, focusing on accident reporting and female employee safety. Additional experience includes roles at Dell Services and Newgen Software Technologies Limited, where expertise in transport compliance and safety protocols was developed. Upendra began a career in administration as an Administrative Assistant at HCL Technologies in 2011. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kanpur University.

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a one-of-its-kind, Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in India, under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality and for-profit vocational institutions. NSDC provides funding to build scalable and profitable vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is to enable support system which focuses on quality assurance, information systems and train-the-trainer academies either directly or through partnerships. NSDC acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organizations that provide skill training. It will also develop appropriate models to enhance, support and coordinate private sector initiatives. The differentiated focus on 21 sectors under NSDC’s purview and its understanding of their viability will make every sector attractive to private investment.
