Stephen Roberson

Stephen Roberson is an accomplished Image Scientist at Peraton since June 2024 and has been serving as the President of the National Society of Black Physicists since January 2016, with previous roles including President Elect and Administrative Executive Officer. With extensive experience in optics and lasers, Stephen held the position of Lead Physicist at 4S - Silversword Software and Services, LLC, where Stephen ensured compliance with contract requirements through modeling and analysis. Prior roles include Senior Scientist Systems Development at Parsons Corporation, Principal Scientist at EOIR Technologies Inc., Adjunct Professor at Morgan State University, Scientist at General Technical Services, and NRC Postdoctoral Research Associate at the US Army Research Laboratory. Stephen earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, a Master's in Physics from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
