Rita Roy

Rita Roy, MD, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Spine Health Foundation, where responsibilities include directing initiatives in patient education, clinical research, and advocacy for individuals with neck and back pain, in collaboration with various boards. Additionally, Rita Roy is a member of the Patient Engagement Advisory Committee for the FDA, contributing insights as a special government employee. Formerly, Rita Roy co-founded and led Astute Technology, a provider of virtual meeting tools acquired by Echo360, and served as President of Medical Consumer Media, an internet-based healthcare information firm acquired by HealthAnswers. Earlier experience includes serving as Medical Director at HT Medical, which developed virtual reality training systems for medical procedures. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from The George Washington University, along with advanced degrees in biology and philosophy.
