Robin Byrne

Robin Byrne has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as a Quality Control & Training Manager at Kingspan Building Products Ltd, where they were responsible for maintaining ISO 9002 Quality System and product certification systems. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as a Senior Quality & Environmental Engineer at Federal-Mogul. In 2001, they joined Promech as a Management Consultant, where they set up and audited systems to various standards and provided training courses. Since 2004, they have been working at the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI). Robin started as a Certification & Inspection Officer and later became the Head of UK Office. In their current role, they manage governance and financial aspects, accreditation schemes, and designation for medical devices. Robin also oversees IT systems and the development of National Annexes.

Robin Byrne attended Meanscoil Iognaid Ris from 1987 to 1992, but did not obtain a degree or study a specific field at this institution. From 1992 to 1996, Robin studied at Trinity College Dublin, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mathematics and a BAI in Civil Engineering. Finally, from 1996 to 1998, Robin attended the Institute of Technology, Sligo, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Quality Assurance.
