Darren Panicali MSN, PMHNP, RN has a diverse work experience. Darren started their career in 2011 as a Summer Program Intern at the I Have a Dream Foundation. Darren then served as a Leadership Council Member at Peer Health Exchange from August 2011 to May 2012. In 2012, they worked as a Health Literacy Intern at NYU Langone Medical Center.
Darren's interest in healthcare continued to grow, and in 2013, they took on multiple roles to gain practical experience. Darren worked as a Student Nurse Volunteer in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit at Bellevue Hospital and as a Student Nurse Intern in the Critical Care Unit at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Additionally, they were a Research Assistant at the Research Foundation of CUNY.
In 2013, Darren also became highly involved with the National Student Nurses Association, serving as the President of the Hunter-Bellevue Chapter.
Since 2014, Darren has been working at The Mount Sinai Hospital as a Clinical Nurse in the Cardiothoracic Stepdown Unit.

Darren Panicali, MSN, PMHNP, RN has a strong educational background in nursing and psychiatric/mental health. Darren obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse/Nursing from New York University between 2017 and 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Hunter College and Macaulay Honors College from 2010 to 2014. In high school, they earned an Advanced Regents Diploma from Staten Island Technical High School between 2006 and 2010.
In addition to their academic achievements, Darren Panicali has also obtained certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) from the American Heart Association in June 2012.
