Schenene Thomas has a diverse work experience, with roles at various organizations. In 2023, they served as the Vice President of the Massachusetts Student Nurses' Association at the National Student Nurses' Association. Also in 2023, they worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital as a Patient Care Associate in Orthopedic and as a Student Nurse in Oncology. In 2021, they held multiple roles at Boston College, including Orientation Leader, Resident Assistant, and Boston College Experience Program Assistant. In the same year, they also worked at the Boston College Connell School of Nursing as a Keys to Inclusive Leadership in Nursing Mentor and in Nursing Outreach. Additionally, in 2022, they were the Population and Global Public Health Chair of the Massachusetts Student Nurses' Association at the National Student Nurses' Association.
Schenene Thomas pursued their education at Boston College from 2021 to 2025, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nursing. In addition to their degree, they also acquired the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association in July 2022.

With a membership of 60,000 nationwide, the National Student Nurses' Association mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities, and career guidance.
