General Counsel And VP Of Policy at NTCA

Jill Canfield has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Jill started as a News Director at WZOS in 1990 and later worked as a Reporter/News Anchor at WRHP FM/WHEN AM in 1992. Transitioning into the legal field, they served as an Associate at Evans & Sill, PC from 1996 to 1998. Joining NTCA in 1998, they held roles such as Sr. Regulatory Counsel and later became the Director of Legal and Industry & Assistant General Counsel. In 2014, they were promoted to VP of Legal, advocating for rural telecommunications companies and representing their interests at both federal and state levels. Currently, Jill serves as the General Counsel and VP of Policy at NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, managing internal legal matters and external counsel, as well as drafting contracts. Their expertise and accomplishments in the telecom industry position their as a strategic leader.

Jill Canfield earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University in 1990. Jill went on to complete their Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Syracuse University College of Law from 1992 to 1995.
