Alex Bayley

Chief Marketing Officer at National Theatre

Alex Bayley serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at the National Theatre, overseeing the Audiences & Media division, which includes digital media, marketing and sales, press and communications, and brand strategy. Since January 2007, Alex has played a pivotal role in enhancing digital access through initiatives like NT Live and NT at Home, all while striving to expand the reach of world-class theatre. Prior to this, Alex held various marketing roles at the National Theatre, including Director of Audiences & Marketing and Director of Marketing. In addition to current commitments at the National Theatre, Alex also serves as Deputy Chair and Board Trustee at Nottingham Playhouse and has previous experience as a Marketing Officer at Shakespeare's Globe. Alex holds an MA in Cultural and Creative Industries from King's College London and a BA in English Literature from UCL.
