Dennis Collins

Dennis Collins is a Senior Accident Investigator at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) since August 2001, focusing on the human factors involved in highway accidents across the United States. Collins has led investigations as NTSB Group Chairman for several high-profile incidents, including the Santa Monica Farmer's Market tragedy and the I-35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis. Prior to joining NTSB, Collins served as a Research Psychologist at SAIC and DCS Corporation, contributing to studies for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and evaluating the use of night vision technology for drivers. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech.
