Leah Walton is a dedicated safety advocate with extensive experience in transportation safety and policy advocacy. Currently employed at the National Transportation Safety Board since July 2016, Leah focuses on advancing safety improvements and addressing legislative issues at various governmental levels. Prior roles include serving as a Highway Safety Specialist at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, where Leah managed impaired driving prevention programs, and as a Program Analyst, leading efforts in pedestrian and school bus safety initiatives. Leah also contributed as a Collaboration Engagement Design Specialist at the Performance Improvement Council and began a youth advocacy career with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, managing initiatives to combat underage drinking. Leah holds an Executive Certificate in Facilitation from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Hamline University.
