Jo Brown is an experienced professional in conservation and consultancy, currently serving as Assistant Director Consultancy for the Midlands and East of England at the National Trust since May 2011. In this role, Jo leads a large multidisciplinary team of specialists and acts as the strategic lead for buildings conservation, land management, nature recovery, and Carbon Net Zero initiatives. Previously, Jo held the position of Assistant Director Consultancy for the Midlands and served as Consultancy Manager, where responsibilities included strategic planning and partnership development with property General Managers. Prior experience includes serving as Conservation Manager at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust from May 2001 to May 2011, leading a team focused on ecology and community engagement. Jo holds a Master's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Conservation from UCL.
