Simon Pickering is an experienced Visitor, Commercial, and Operations Manager in the heritage sector, known for their extensive practical knowledge in museum collections care. They have worked in various roles, including House and Collections Manager, where they developed innovative thematic interpretations and managed significant conservation projects. Currently, Simon leads a property operations team through a major transition while enhancing visitor experiences and maintaining high operational standards. They have also served as an annual guest lecturer at the Ironbridge Institute’s MA in Heritage Management since 2019, emphasizing the balance between access and conservation.
