Sinn-Wen Chen

Sinn-wen Chen serves as Chair Professor and Senior Vice President at National Tsing Hua University since August 2017, and has been a faculty member there since 1992. Previous roles include Distinguished Professor and various vice president positions focused on Global Affairs and Academic Affairs from 2008 to 2016, as well as Dean of Student Affairs. Sinn-wen Chen was also a Visiting Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007 and Chairman of the Chemical Engineering Department at National Tsing Hua University from 2004 to 2007. Additional experience includes serving as Coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Division for the National Science Council (Taiwan) from 2002 to 2005 and a Senior Scientist at the Alcoa Technical Center in 1991-1992. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Materials Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
