Niall McMahon

Niall McMahon is currently serving as a Research Fellow at the University of Galway, leading a technical team for a medical device project funded by Enterprise Ireland. As the CEO and Founder of Simpitiko since 2017, Niall has also held academic positions, including Assistant Professor at Dublin City University from 2021 to 2023 and Senior Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin from 2015 to 2017. Niall's engineering experience includes working as an Engineer at Enterprise Defence (2018-2020), focusing on web application development for cybersecurity, and serving as CTO & Head of Product at Airsynergy in 2014. Previous roles also include Lecturer and Centre Director at Dundalk Institute of Technology, Senior Engineer at Ampair Energy, and Research Fellow at both Dundalk Institute of Technology and Dublin City University. Niall holds a PhD in Computing from Dublin City University and a BA, BAI in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
