Mathew Mathews is a highly experienced Principal Research Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies, National University of Singapore, since August 2010, where leadership is provided to the IPS Social Lab, focusing on social indicator research through quantitative and qualitative methods. The Social Lab comprises over 40 full-time staff and engages approximately 40,000 Singaporean residents through surveys, focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews. Previously, Mathew held the position of Visiting Fellow at the National University of Singapore from July 2002 to December 2009, teaching courses in social psychology, sociology of family, and research methodology. Mathew holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore and multiple master's degrees, including in Religious Education (Pastoral Care), Sociology, and Counselling and Religion, along with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) from the same institution.
