Kim Folsom is currently a Trustee at National University System. Prior to this, they served as an Adjunct Professor at National University from March 2016 to June 2022. In this role, they taught graduate MBA level courses in strategic business management, global marketing strategy, operational management, financial management, corporate technology innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture financing of start-up and early stage companies. Kim also partnered with the National University School of Business MBA program to implement a program where regional start-up entrepreneurs shared their stories in the form of presentations and case studies with MBA students as part of their Capstone Course. Students in the course engaged with the entrepreneurs to perform competitive and customer satisfaction analysis, with the assistance of market research from the National University Institute on Economic Policy, to present recommendations for improvements.
Before their time at National University, Kim Folsom served as the Founder, Chairperson, and CEO of Founders First Capital Partners. Prior to that, they were the Founder, CEO, and Chief Revenue Officer of ShowUhow, Inc. from January 2008 to February 2014. Before that, they were an Adjunct Professor at University of Phoenix from January 2006 to April 2015.
Kim Folsom has an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BSIS from San Diego State University.
