Adenike Huggins has extensive work experience in the field of education policy and advocacy. Adenike worked as a Senior Director of Education Policy and Advocacy at the National Urban League from 2017 to present. In addition, they served as an Adjunct Lecturer at the CUNY School of Professional Studies from 2017 to 2020, and as a Lecturer at CUNY New York City College of Technology in 2017.
Prior to their current roles, Huggins held various positions at The City University of New York (CUNY) from 2007 to 2017. These roles include Program Manager: Policy and Research, Policy & Research Analyst, Policy & Data Analyst, and Policy & Research Intern. Adenike also worked as a Public Policy Fellow at the New York State Assembly in 2008.

Later, from 2001 to 2005, they attended Baruch College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration. Following this, they pursued further education at Baruch College, completing a Master of Public Administration degree in Policy Analysis and Evaluation from 2007 to 2008.
