Ian Ymalay

Ian Ymalay, O.D., is a distinguished optometrist currently serving as the Optometrist-Preceptor-Area Doctor at National Vision Inc. since July 2007, where recognition includes the 2019 Optometrist of the Year award and the launch of the Clinical Preceptor Program in 2017. In addition to this role, Ian Ymalay acts as a consultant for CooperVision since January 2021, providing expertise on contact lenses. Academic contributions include serving as an Adjunct Faculty Assistant Professor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry since September 2017, where Ian Ymalay was honored as the 2019 Externship Preceptor of the Year, and participation in the ICOPro mentorship program. Ian Ymalay also holds an Adjunct Clinical Professor position at Midwestern University (IL) since June 2020 and an Affiliated Professor of Optometry role at Inter American University of Puerto Rico-School of Optometry since 2017. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.
