Barbara Underwood

Barbara Underwood, MBA has extensive work experience in talent acquisition and management, as well as recruitment and sales. Since 2016, they have been the Director of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management at the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP), where they have focused on attracting top talent and building strong talent pipelines. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at State Auto Insurance as a Senior Recruiter, handling full life-cycle recruitment, campus recruiting, and workforce planning. Additionally, they have experience in international hires, employee relations, and compliance. Prior to that, Barbara worked at Glaxo Smith Kline Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Executive Sales Representative, where they promoted pharmaceutical products and health-wellness programs and built lasting relationships with healthcare professionals.

Barbara Underwood holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Education from The Ohio State University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Ohio University, a Certificate of Dental Hygiene in Dental Hygiene/Hygienist from The Ohio State University, and a Certificate of Completion in PHR (Professional in Human Resources) from Wright State University. Barbara also has additional certifications including CIR-AIRS Certification from AIRS/ADP, Social Media Certified, SourceCon Academy from ERE, State of Ohio Teaching Certificate (inactive), and State of Ohio Registered Dental Hygienist (inactive) from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
