Monica Dejesus

Monica DeJesus currently serves as the Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Manager and Lead Educator at the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) since February 2023. Prior to this role, Monica worked as a Bilingual Family Support Advocate at Richland County First Steps from February 2022 to January 2023 and spent over 13 years at the BabyNet SC Early Intervention Agency as an English-Spanish Interpreter for Educational Settings and Coach Caregiver. Monica's educational background includes ongoing studies for a Master of Education in Trauma-Informed Education at Columbia College (SC), a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the International TELF Academy, a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from the University of Florida, and an Associate in Applied Science in Early Care and Education from Midlands Technical College, among other qualifications in business and interpreting.
