Mark Ettema's work experience includes the following roles:

1. Lead Developer Design System at Nationale-Nederlanden (since November 2021). Mark is responsible for shaping and sharing the tech vision of NN's design system.

Mark Ettema has a diverse education history. Mark obtained a Conversational degree in Spanish from BijlescentraleHaarlem from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, they achieved a Pre-intermediate/intermediate degree in Spanish from Vamos Spanish Lessons (Mexico City) in 2019-2020. In 2017, Mark completed a Masterclass English program, earning an Advanced degree in Cambridge English. Mark also studied Spanish at SpaansHaarlem, AIL Madrid, and Trifork, reaching Pre-intermediate and Beginner levels. In terms of language studies, Mark also completed Upper Intermediate courses in English at Hart Haarlem and St Giles International London Central. Additionally, they received training in AngularJS from Trifork in 2015. Mark has further certifications in Data Structures and Algorithmic Toolbox from Coursera, as well as a Cambridge English: First (FCE) certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment and a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org, both obtained in 2014.
