Myrthe Toppen

Onderzoeker at Nationale ombudsman

Myrthe Toppen currently serves as Secretary for Plant een Olijfboom and has extensive experience in research and program management. Since May 2019, Myrthe has held the position of Researcher at the Nationale Ombudsman. Previously, Myrthe worked at Labyrinth Research as a Project Leader and Researcher from April 2018 to April 2019, and PAX for Peace as a Program Officer focused on Iraq from August 2017 to April 2018, where responsibilities included program management, development, and policy support. Earlier career roles encompassed Program Development Officer at the OPS Group, Programs Manager and Research Coordinator at the Identity Center for Human Development, an intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands, and logistical support as an intern at Movies that Matter. Myrthe's educational background includes a Master of Arts in International Studies from Leiden University, a Bachelor's Degree in Political History and International Relations, and a Bachelor's in Arabic Language and Culture from Utrecht University, in addition to pursuing a Bachelor Minor in Modern History at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
