Sally Chou has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sally started their career as a Senior Producer and Head of Product Design at Plaxo, Inc. in 2003, where they led a cross-functional team in producing consumer-facing aspects of the products. Sally then worked as a Technology Consultant at scyte technology & media consulting from 2005 to 2018. During this time, they also founded the Academy of Scoring Arts and served as the Founding President, establishing the organization as a non-profit corporation and overseeing its operations.
In 2012, Sally Chou worked as an Instructor for a graduate course on "Advanced Electronic Music Composition" at UCLA. Sally then joined Vox Femina Los Angeles as a singer and arranger in 2011, where they contributed to the group's musical performances and arrangements until 2016.
Sally Chou pursued their passion for music composition and served as a freelance composer for Cerebella Music in 2013. Sally also composed and served as the music supervisor for the series "Vanity" in 2015. Additionally, they composed, directed music, and served as the resident songwriter for the EMMY AWARD-WINNING web series "Emma Approved" from 2013 to 2014.
In 2016, Sally Chou worked as a composer for the series "Socio." Finally, in 2018, they joined NationBuilder as the Director of Product.
Sally Chou has a Bachelor of Science (S.B.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sally also holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Music Composition for Visual Media from UCLA. The exact start and end years for both degrees are not provided.
