Michelle Berry has an extensive work experience in the mortgage industry. Michelle is currently serving as the Vice President-Alternative Lending at Nations Direct Mortgage since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Credit Manager- Specialty Lending at the same company from January to November 2021.
Before joining Nations Direct Mortgage, Michelle held various roles at different companies. Michelle served as the Director of NanQ Underwriting at LoanStream Mortgage from January 2020 to January 2021. At Royal Pacific Funding, they worked as the Director of Operations- Wholesale from October 2019 to March 2020, and as the Director of Operations- Non QM Division from September 2017 to March 2020.
Michelle also gained experience as the Vice President, Wholesale Operations at FundLoans.com from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, Michelle worked as the Vice President Operations Manager at Stonegate Mortgage Corporation from 2015 to 2016. Michelle also served as the Vice President of Credit and Underwriting at Cove Financial Group, Inc. from 2013 to 2015.
Michelle'searlier experience includes working as a Senior Underwriter at PrimeLending, A PlainsCapital Company from 2012 to 2013. Michelle also served as the Underwriting Manager at Edge MAC from 2007 to 2012. Michelle started their career as the VP-West Coast Director of Credit and Operations at New Century Mortgage Corporation from 1998 to 2007.
Michelle Berry has a degree in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from California State University, Long Beach. In addition to their degree, they have obtained a certification in NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry) from the institution in April 2016.
