Kyle Tata is an experienced photography instructor and lab technician with a diverse background in the arts. Since February 2012, Kyle has taught photography courses at the Baltimore School for the Arts, focusing on both black and white darkroom techniques and advanced photography for seniors. Concurrently, Kyle operates a Durst Theta Printer at Nations Photo Lab, specializing in high-volume digital chromogenic enlargements. Previous experience includes an internship at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History, where Kyle assisted with research on photography collections, and contributing as a blog writer for the Humble Arts Foundation. Additionally, Kyle has worked as a teacher's assistant and residential coordinator for summer programs at the Maryland Institute College of Art and has assisted photographer Jerry Spagnoli in a Daguerreotype class. Kyle holds a degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art, completed in 2012.
