EVP, Treasury/Investment Banking at Nations Trust Bank PLC

Perry Savundranayagam is the EVP of Treasury and Investment Banking at Nations Trust Bank PLC. Prior to this, they were the Director, Head of Global Markets Corporate Sales for HSBC in Sri Lanka and the Maldives from August 2008 to October 2020. In this role, Perry was responsible for the performance of the Global Markets Corporate Sales business and institutional sales business, ensuring that the Global Markets strategy was adopted within the country. Perry was also responsible for identifying and enabling collaboration opportunities with varying internal and external stakeholders in order to service client needs and improve wallet share.

Some of Perry’s key accomplishments during their time at HSBC include servicing a portfolio of Strategic and/or Focus clients that generated a four-fold increase in the business during the period of 2008-2012, being instrumental in introducing E-platforms and processes that created efficiency through automation, introducing and developing a product structuring desk that provided risk management solutions for Corporate clients in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, introducing Wealth Management Solutions to HSBC Sri Lanka’s high net-worth Individual client base, and introducing a local currency Foreign Exchange Option book to the Sri Lankan market.

Perry Savundranayagam has a ACI Dealing Certificate from the ACI The Financial Markets Association in Treasury and Global Market Activities. Perry has an MBA in Finance, General from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM). Perry has an Associate in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. Perry went to Primary and High School at St. Peter's College Colombo, Sri Lanka.
