Darren Black

Darren Black is an accomplished insurance and finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across the industry. Currently serving as Head of Insurance, Protection & Investments at Nationwide Building Society since May 2013, Darren leads a team responsible for managing key insurance portfolios and regulatory compliance, while fostering partnerships with third-party providers to enhance product innovation and customer service. Previous roles include significant positions at Darren Black Consulting, Seopa Ltd, Confused.com, Lloyds Banking Group, Barclaycard, and Halifax, where expertise ranged from business development and market strategy to retention and marketing management. Darren holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of South Wales and a CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing.
