Driven by its Mission, Native American Connections is ABOUT... Improving the lives of Native American individuals and families through culturally appropriate behavioral health, affordable housing, and community development services. Since 1972, we have been changing lives, strengthening families, and building healthy communities. In that time, we have grown from a small grassroots organization operating one program for Native American men in recovery from substance abuse into one which now owns and operates 18 sites throughout Central Phoenix offering a continuum of affordable housing and behavioral health services which touch the lives of over 5,000 individuals and families each year. Our vision is that Native American Connections be recognized as a premier Native American service and development organization by: Being a dynamic learning organization Embracing entrepreneurial spirit Ensuring success through continuous quality improvement Fostering strategic alliances and partnerships Growing leadership through cultural values Promoting wellness in Native Communities We are grounded in values which honor and respect Native American culture and kinship. One of Native American Connections' greatest strengths is that it has managed to maintain the heart, soul and spirit of a grassroots community-based organization, even as it has experienced such tremendous growth. The reasons we were founded almost 40 years ago still resonate with us, providing us with meaning and passion for our work today, and for all that we envision and will accomplish in the future.
