Wendy (Williford) Garcia has a diverse work experience. Wendy began their career in 1992 as Deputy Director at the State of Alaska Child Support Enforcement Division and held this position until 2003. In 2003, they joined the Native American Technology Corporation as Vice President. Wendy then transitioned to the Conferated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw in 2007, where they served as a Tribal Council member until September 2012.

Wendy (Williford) Garcia pursued their education at Alaska Pacific University. From 1994 to 1996, they completed their Bachelor of Administration degree with a focus on Organizational Admin. Wendy then continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in Adult Education from 1996 to 1998. Furthermore, in 1997, they briefly pursued an MBA in Business at Alaska Pacific University.
