Megan Tjuanta

Research Associate - Upstream Process Development at Native Microbials, Inc.

Megan Tjuanta has diverse work experience starting from 2016. Megan began as an Assistant Laboratory Technician at Clovis Community College, where they worked in the Chemistry & Biology department until December 2018. During this time, they also served as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Fleming Lab, conducting research projects related to their studies.

In 2019, Megan joined UC San Diego Health as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Zengler Lab. Megan worked on various projects involving microbial community metagenomic analysis and collaborated with a computational modeling team. Megan presented their synthetic DNA project at the URS Summer Research Conference in 2020. Megan continued as a Senior Design Project Researcher until June 2021.

In 2021, Megan transitioned to a role as a Veterinary Assistant at Ethos Veterinary Health, where they gained experience in supporting veterinary practices.

In 2022, Megan joined Native Microbials, Inc. as a Research Associate in Upstream Process Development, contributing to the advancement of the company's research and development efforts.

Throughout their work experience, Megan has acquired valuable knowledge and skills in laboratory techniques, research projects, and collaborative work.

Megan Tjuanta completed their Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering with a specialization in Biotechnology from UC San Diego, from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree from Clovis Community College from 2016 to 2018, where they studied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Biology, and Economics.
