Andrew Metcalfe

CEO at Native Network

Andrew Metcalfe is the Founder and CEO of Native Network. He has extensive experience in successfully building and leading telecommunications companies. His experience in the U.S. Marine Corps, his Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois and 7 years of working as a Boeing engineer prepared him for his telecommunications career. Metcalfe’s Native American heritage and experience growing up on the Colville Indian Reservation in Washington State provide him with a nuanced understanding of tribal communities and the challenges tribes face. In 2016, he founded Native Network to focus solely on the need to bridge the digital divide for tribes that want to become part of the 21st century telecommunications program.

From 1993 to 1999 Mr. Metcalfe was the chief engineer and architect of the network infrastructure for a Cellular One franchise in Eastern Washington, which included over 35 sites in the most rural areas of the state. This network was instrumental in positioning the sale of the company to Triton Cellular Partners in 1998 for $50.0 million.
