Amanda Bremner

Deputy Director

Amanda Bremner (K̲aa Saayí Tláa – Mother of Names) is Teik̲weidi (Brown Bear clan of the Eagle Moiety) and was raised in Yakutat, Alaska, where they spent summers on the Situk and Alsek Rivers. Amanda graduated from the University of Alaska, Southeast, with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in English and Social Science and a minor in Tlingit Language. With over 15 years of experience in project and program development, management, and evaluation, Amanda has worked as a self-employed Program Consultant and as the Indigenous Advancement Director at the First Alaskans Institute. Amanda is currently the Deputy Director at Native Movement and holds the position of Board Director and Corporate Secretary at Yak-tat Kwaan, Inc. Passionate about preserving Tlingit language and culture, they aim to promote generational healing from historical trauma caused by colonization.
