Captain - Civil-military Analyst In Multinational Division North at NATO

Mikael Rasmussen currently serves as a Captain and Civil-Military Analyst in Multinational Division North at NATO since January 2022. Prior to this role, Mikael accumulated extensive experience in the Den Kongelige Livgarde from December 2012 to January 2022, holding various positions including Teacher for the Lieutenant course, Guard Commander, and Senior Sergeant of the Reserve. Additional responsibilities included overseeing human resources, financial calculations, and mentoring non-commissioned officers. Mikael also interned at the Embassy of Denmark in Poland, focusing on Ukrainian defense and security policy from February to July 2019. Earlier experience includes roles within ISAF and NATO, dealing with communications and personnel management. Mikael holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Arts in Civil-Military Interaction from Helmut-Schmidt-Universität and a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies from the University of Copenhagen.
