Gopal Parakulam

Gopal Parakulam has worked in various engineering roles since 1987. Gopal began their career as a Junior Engineer at Bharat Fritz Werner, Pvt Ltd, where they designed electrical switching circuitry, developed Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs, interfaced Computer Numerical Controllers to Machines, commissioned & serviced CNC machines, and provided customer training and support. In 1993, they joined Kenetech Windpower as an Electrical Engineer, where they designed a test fixture to test driver boards. In 1995, they joined Metrotech as a Staff Design Engineer, where they were responsible for the digital design and firmware development for Metrotech's single frequency 82kHz receiver. In 2000, they joined Quantum / Maxtor Corp as an ASIC Design Engineer, where they designed arbitration logic for arbitrating the register access between the two simultaneously running ARM 966ES processors. In 2006, they joined Deeya Energy as the Director of Firmware & Electronics Engineering, where they built high performing teams consisting of Engineers and Managers to execute Hardware designs, Firmware designs, Software designs, Power designs, Test fixture design, Reliability testing & System Integration in US & India. In 2015, they joined S&C Electric Company as Manager Electronics Hardware, where they redesigned electrical protective relay to achieve 30-year reliability, took it through certification process and then release for production, and architect/managed a cross functional team of Engineers/Managers to design an External Trip product from Product definition to Production with 25-year reliability & agency certification. In 2021, they joined Natron Energy as the Director Of Engineering.

Gopal Parakulam has an educational background in engineering. Gopal obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Telecommunication from RV College of Engineering between 1982 and 1987. Gopal then went on to earn a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University between 1991 and 1993. Additionally, they have a Project Management Practitioner certification from De Anza College.
