Marc Thomas has a diverse work experience background, starting as a General Practitioner Registrar at Botesdale Health Centre in 2005. Marc then worked as a doctor in various specialties at West Suffolk Hospital NHS Foundation Trust before transitioning into research roles at CERN, University of Southampton, and Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. Marc also worked as a Data Scientist at Perpetuum Ltd. before taking on roles at NATS, where they currently work as a Research Software Engineer and Concept Delivery Engineer. Additionally, Marc is a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University of London.

Marc Thomas holds a Bachelor of Medicine degree from the University of Southampton (1998-2003). Marc then pursued further studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The Open University (2008-2011) before completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Southampton (2011-2015).
