Mark Swan

Mark Swan currently serves as the Head of the Airspace Change Organising Group at NATS since November 2019. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Group Director of Safety and Airspace at the Civil Aviation Authority from January 2009 to November 2019, where involvement included oversight of the UK's specialist aviation regulatory functions. Mark’s career in aviation began with service in the UK Ministry of Defence as a Royal Air Force Officer from February 1979 to February 2009, focusing on flying as a fighter jet pilot and instructor, while also engaging in display piloting. Mark holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law from Cardiff University, earned between 1976 and 1979.
