Michelangelo LaTona has been working in the rubber industry since 2012. Michelangelo began their career at Star Thermoplastic Alloys & Rubbers, Inc. as a Lab Chemist, where they worked to develop TPE formulations and conducted qualitative and quantitative analysis of materials. In 2018, they moved to Eastman Chemical Company as a Rubber Analyst. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Wacker Chemical Corporation as a Scientist, conducting research on silicone elastomers and reviewing patent landscapes for potential IP filings. Currently, they are employed at Natural Fiber Welding as a Rubber Development Engineer.
Michelangelo LaTona received their BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2011. Michelangelo then went on to earn a Master of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering from The University of Akron in 2018.
