Kate Willingham Shew

Kate Willingham Shew serves as the Regional Adventure Director for Canada at Natural Habitat Adventures since November 2015, overseeing operations, product development, revenue goals, budget, and branding, particularly for polar bear tours in Churchill, Manitoba. Prior experience includes a role as Economic Development Marketer at Development Counsellors International and positions at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Writing Consultant and Teaching Assistant. Kate also worked as an Expedition Leader at Moondance Adventures, leading high school students on international trips focused on leadership and community service. Additional experience includes teaching English and coaching varsity women’s soccer at Darlington School, a neurosurgical internship at Semmes-Murphey Clinic, and medical work in Kenya sponsored by a Lilly Summer Discernment Institute grant. Educational qualifications consist of a BA in English and Spanish from The University of the South, a Master's Degree in English Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder, and studies at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
