Elizabeth McGrath is an experienced leader with a strong background in governance research and organizational effectiveness. As the Managing Director at the Natural Resource Governance Institute since August 2016, Elizabeth has been pivotal in enhancing NRGI's impact and aligning the organization’s strategy with current trends and research. Previously, Elizabeth served in various roles at the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, including Director of the Ibrahim Index of African Governance, overseeing a comprehensive assessment of governance across African nations. Elizabeth's career also includes research and advocacy roles at organizations such as Amnesty International and Kudirat Initiative for Democracy. Elizabeth holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and International Development from the University of Bath and has furthered education at SOAS, University of London.
