Craig Carey is an accomplished senior executive with extensive experience in strategic policy and stakeholder engagement within Canada's natural resources sector. Currently serving as Director General at Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Craig leads governance reforms and intergovernmental partnerships while aligning energy, environmental, and economic priorities. Prior leadership roles encompass strategic and operational leadership during critical organizational transitions, managing multidisciplinary teams for Indigenous partnerships, and providing strategic policy advice on high-stakes projects such as the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion. Additional experience includes representing BC Hydro in governance negotiations and overseeing compliance processes for substantial energy infrastructure projects. Craig's education includes a Master of Arts in French & Francophone Studies and an International Bachelor of Arts in English & French from University College Dublin.
