Denise Wong is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic planning, risk management, and corporate governance within the Canadian federal government. Currently serving as Director of Emerging Issues and Director of Strategic Planning, Results and Risk at Natural Resources Canada since May 2021, Denise has previously held managerial and director roles at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, Infrastructure Canada, and the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. Notably, Denise managed department-wide planning and reporting processes, led the implementation of key policies on results, and provided strategic advice on policy compliance and performance management. Denise holds a Master's Degree in Sociology from York University and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Development Studies from Queen's University.
