Cullen Howe is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in renewable energy advocacy and environmental law. Currently serving as Senior Attorney and Advocate at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since March 2019, Cullen Howe focuses on promoting renewable energy initiatives in New York and reforming energy market regulations. Prior roles include Senior Attorney and New York Director at Acadia Center, where Cullen Howe advocated for energy efficiency and climate policy, and Senior Legislative Counsel for the New York City Council, managing legislation on sustainability and climate change. Cullen Howe's legal career also includes time as an Environmental Specialist at Arnold & Porter LLP, where research on climate change and energy issues was conducted, and as an Associate at Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP, specializing in commercial litigation and anti-discrimination law.
